Fanny Bastien and Geoffroy Thiebaut, Presidents of the Association of Builders of the Unusual and Directors of
the Festival in partnership with the City Hall of Rennes-le-Château announce the 10th edition of the International
Festival of Unusual Films.

The 10th edition of this international festival will be placed under the sign of new or renewable energies, nature
and people. Around this central theme, festival-goers will be able to discover unusual French and international
films, that is to say surprising, poetic and spiritual.
Films that re-enchant our daily lives, offer a true author's point of view and stimulate imagination and creativity… for
a reflection on the world, on ourselves and on nature.

"We created this festival to promote the Haute vallée de l'Aude
that we love so much, to make people discover this part of
Occitania through artistic and intellectual expressiveness.
It is our way of getting involved in local cultural life in the
broadest sense of the term and of highlighting this universe
and bringing it to life on a national and international level.
Our goal is to screen extraordinary cinematographic works,
which arouse astonishment, but also to be under the
patronage of Our Mother Nature. What a pleasure it is to be
joined by our friends the Artists.
Some popular or great personalities of cinema join us every
year (Pierre Richard, Jean-Pierre Mocky, Jacques Pradel,
Gérard Lanvin, Romane Bohringer, Julie Depardieu, Philippe
Katerine, Pascal Legitimus, Smain, Olivier Marchal, Fabienne
Berthaud, Coline Serreau, LIO etc….), and are like us driven
by the idea of sharing and passing on the torch to the general
public (lovers, enthusiasts, curious or neophytes)
and especially to the younger generations! it's the
emotion and openness to freedom of expression,
which is the cornerstone of this festival where we
