The festival unusual of Rennes-the-castle organizes this year for their 5th edition a competition of short films and UNUSUAL documentaries

Of the turned movies and achieved in 2018/2019

Small recall: But that wants to say unusual?
That the art of the movies is an insolent, particular, rare, unique, extraordinary art, baffled, poetic, outstanding. Let’s be different, on unexpected, unaccustomed topics! Your movies can be the committed, dramatic movies, comedies, experimental, musical or of animation.

The jury is composed solely of professionals of the movies: essentially of journalists and d ‘artists

Short films

Minimal length: 10mn
MAXIMAL LENGTH: 30 minutes (generic of beginning and end understood)
THEMATIC: (fiction, animation) Everything that concerns closely or from afar” The unusual” (to see above: small recall)
ORIGIN: of France or from all over the world, in his/her/its language of origin but subtitled inevitably in French
PRICE: “Price of the most unusual short film”

Documentary

Minimal length: 30mn
LENGTH MAXIMAL 50mn /60mn (generic of beginning and end understood)
THEMATIC: Everything that concerns closely or from afar” The unusual” (to see above: small recall)
ORIGIN: France and whole world in French language – or foreign but subtitled inevitably in French
PRICE: “Price of the most unusual Documentary”: TRANSPALUX partner to height of 5000€uros

Scripts unusual short film

The festival unusual of Rennes-the-castle for their 5th edition organizes for the first time an UNUSUAL SCRIPT CONTEST.

Therefore if your script can correspond previously above to the criterias of the unusual definite, don’t hesitate! It is a personal challenge, history to pass itself/themselves and to go from the before.
